Do I need a coach?
+ Do I feel I'm living the dream?
When we convince ourselves that our life is "good enough", we rob ourselves of discovering the possibilites of an even better life. As a life coach I help clients celebrate the life they have and using a solutions focus guide them to achieve their bigger dreams.
+ Do I like to be told what to do?
No? Phew! I'm not in the business of telling you what to do. Instead I see clients as creative whole beings and believe in their strengths and intuition to solve their own life challenges. By asking powerful questions and exploring your life stories, I help you focus on what works in order to inspire ideas, confidence and motivation for change.
+ Am I finished learning?
Learning power refers to the accumulation of skills that enable a person to engage effectively with a variety of challenges. Challenges never cease so if we stop learning we stop ourselves in our own tracks, stuck. As your coach, I offer the opportunity to learn essential techniques to understand, experience, and practice in order to discover you.
+ Do I have people in my life that I can talk to about my goals and dreams?
Practicing the essential art of truly listening to clients, and addressing challenges using curiosity, non-judgement and attention is how I have been professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential.
+ Do I have a vision and a clear path?
Whether you are looking for help defining a vision or executing it, I will ask powerful questions and explore stories to generate insights and clarity.
How do I work with you?
+ What should I expect when we work together?
When we embark on our work together, we’ll set out our initial goals, the pace at which we want to start, and lay the groundwork for how to communicate. Though there are certain methodologies and aspects of my practice I use to help you, the pace is determined by you.
+ What does your approach look like?
I am a positive psychology coach and work from a strengths-based approach to "build what’s strong" rather than "fix what’s wrong". This can be a very empowering approach for individuals who are looking to cultivate more positive ways of approaching challenges.
+ What would success look like for me?
In helping you imagine and explore your desired future, in concrete detail, we orient our work towards your goals. As you grow toward these goals you may feel like the shedding of weight, anxiety and even hopelessness. It depends on your appetitite for change.
+ Why do you believe coaching would be beneficial for cancer surviviors?
My coaching model creates a positive environment with a focus on what is good and right in a person. This sets the stage for magical things to happen for any human. We each hold the potential of human flourishing. For cancer survivors it is fertile ground. They have experienced a trauma, had extraordinary focus on what was wrong and lived in a subliminal state of fight or flight during the treatment phase of their path. The bridge to survivorship offers a different type of healing. It is psychological and physiological healing inviting survivors back into the driver’s seat of their life.
